I'm glad that part of the month is over. It's been quite hard to get over the depression that is constantly floating around work. People don't see the purpose of coming in to office as lots of projects that people were working on have been cancelled/postponed and there is not much one can do in the office space. With breakfast and afternoon tea cancelled, there are less and less people in the office, which makes the space empty.
I have come to terms that there is as much as I can do. So I really need to focus on personal development and research for Indonesia adventure. I think I need to think about it as half a year adventure. Plan it so. And if anything develops and goes the right track, an opportunity pops up and I can benefit greatly by staying or move to another country, why not.
So. Plan. End of June (need to find out how to change AirBaltic flight) sort my belongings and send them to Latvia. Fly to Latvia, enjoy the Song and Dance festival, head to Dubai for a weekend and then transfer to Indonesia (inside trip includes flight from Bali to Kupang (hooooow the f**** that is gonna happen?) where I will be greeted by Martina and Tom and then off to catch a ferry to Rote Island). Have a flight back for Christmas period.
Focus right now would be:
- sell as much stuff as I can - clothes, shoes, books, gardening, kitchen, alcohol, design...
- do any cash in hand event jobs I can get my hands on...
- practise and build my Instagram following through yoga....
So what am I worried about? That I won't have enough money to pay for flights, that I won't find a remote job I could do and support myself at least with basic necessitates.
I haven't even thought about hygiene or contact lenses, safety and medical insurance.
The more I think about certain things, the more I feel anxious, but at the same time.. If I don't do this now, when else? Just need to be prepared for all the eventualities.
What are the basics I need? The flight ticket back from Bali. And extra cash to travel between Rote - Kupang - Bali. Travel insurance. Medical insurance. (£1.5k - £2k a month travel money)
Should I reach out to some Latvians in Indonesia? Maybe there is someone who can fly me to Kupang and someone who has a high speed boat to take me to Rote island. Well, that would be epic!
